Hi all,

Recently I got an old PC(7 years old) that has a Asus Striker Extreme motherboard. I am planning to clean up the components of the PC and give it to my dad. However, it would be inconvenient to use wire connection to connect the PC to the router in my case. My question is, are there any PCI wireless adapters that is compatible with this really old motherboard? Thanks a lot. Appreciate any help.

I just found that your motherboard has one PCI-E X1 slot so you can use this wireless adapter.

Thanks again and a quick question. What's the difference between the two cards? Which one will be a better choice? Thanks. :)

First card uses older Wi-Fi protocols and has general up-to 300mbp/s speed while second one has the latest Wi-Fi protocols an up-to 850~860mbp/s speed which is achievable if you have good provider, either choice would be good but second one looks more future proof (because of speed :) )
