Replace capacitor on xbox

My xbox caught on fire. I opened it up and saw a blown capacitor. I want to try and replace it however it looks like it's damaged the motherboard around it as well. With the picture provided does anyone know if replacing the capacitor will fix this?

I can't tell by the picture. I depends on what is under the soot. If there are traces uder the soot that are melted just replacing the capacitor will not repair it.

I suggest first removing the capacitor and then cleaning the board very gently with 70% isopropyl alcolhol. You can get it at the drug store. You'll need to do that to repair it anyway so nothing lost but a bit of effort if it's not repairable.

The larger view is why did the capacitor blow? If it's just age, then it's likely the others will blow soon.

On the other hand, it's pretty cheap to try it. Probably less than $5 including the alcohol.
