Got all new parts today in the mail and built the new PC. Everything was fine at first:
Breadboard - Fine
Built in case - Fine
Install OS on SSD - Fine
Minor overclock - Fine

Then I played Far Cry 3 for an hour or so and decided to finish setting up the OS and installed a bunch of drivers and the like so I had to reboot. When the PC booted up again the lights turned on, fans were on, but no beep and no output to screen. The PC just refuses to POST.

Once I shut it off again and try again it'll boot just fine.

Then if I reboot (or just shutdown/power up) it'll do the same thing.

It only boots every second time and I have no idea what to do. I've read heaps of threads here with similar issues but none of the solutions have helped me so far.

Here's my specs:
- AMD FX-9370 (OC to 4.7GHz)
- Thermaltake Water 3.0 CC water cooler for the CPU
- Gigabyte 970A-D3P
- 2x4Gb Kingston RAM
- Enermax 1250W PSU
- Radeon R9 290 Windforce GPU
- NZXT Switch 810 case

OS is installed to an SSD and is connected to the PC via SATA addon controller along with the DVD-RW (mobo SATA connections all taken with storage drives). Yes I have tried booting with the OS drive connected to the mobo directly. Didn't help.

Cooling can't be an issue as the case allows me to have the radiator at the top (2 fans), plus 4 other fans on the front, back, bottom, plus two fans inside the case directed at the expansions.

I've also tried reseating the RAM (and yes, the mobo beeps repeatedly when booting without any RAM).

Any ideas guys?

Hi,

I would suggest to set your BIOS to the default settings first (don't overclock yet). If it behaves well with the default settings. Then you can try to adjust your overclocking settings to a stable spot where you find you're not having system issues.

I've tried that. No avail.
