I've recently purchased a AMD Radeon Club3D 280X as my GPU, but I have the feeling that my CPU is a huge bottleneck. I currently have a Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50 GHz as my CPU and I am wondering what CPU I should purchase.
The AMD 8320 is a lot cheaper than Intel i5's, but I am worried that it might not be fast enough.
This is my current build:
RAM: 8.00GB Dual-Channel DDR2 @ 399MHz
CPU: Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 @ 2.50GHz
GPU: AMD Radeon Club3D 280X
SSD: Crucial M500
HDD: Samsung HD103SJ 1TB
MOBO: Asus P5QLD Pro
If I purchase a new CPU, I will also buy a new motherboard and RAM modules.
So, what CPU should I purchase so my GPU doesn't get bottlenecked?
