I have a backup computer I put together out of spare parts till I have the spare change to repair my primary build. In order to maintain data transfer rate, I set up my 3 hard drives into a RAID 0 in the bios. I go to install windows 7. It recognizes the RAID drive when I go to install, but when I go to install it says "Windows could not format a partition to disc 0. The error occurred while preparing the partition selected for installation. Error Code: 0x80070057"

System specs:
AMD Athlon 64x2 6000+
Gigabyte GA-55SLI-S4 mobo
6 gig DDR2 RAM

I am new to configuring RAID, but I did a lot of research. I noticed you have to install drivers (typically so windows can see the drive), but that doesn't seam to be my problem. And even if it is, gigabyte doesn't have windows 7 drivers for the mobo.

Also tried installing linux mint, also ran into and error there. I know the drives are good because they came out of a functional rig.

Thanks.
