can yhe T2984 be upgraded from XP to windows 8

If this T2984 refers to eMachines T2984, this is what I found for that computer:
- Intel processor · Celeron D · 340 · 2.93 GHz · DDR SDRAM · 512 MB RAM · Disk size - 80 GB · DVD-ROM · Intel Extreme Graphics · Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition
While Windows 8 would probably install on this hardware, in order to work properly it would need additional RAM, and this motherboard max is 2GB. Then the hard driver is small and slow... I would not invest time or money in that computer.
