need help with dvi setup

Hi guys I've done my fair share of research but I still can't get my samung syncmaster monitor to pick up the dvi from my 6870 black edition.Please help N.B running antec earthwatts 380 with pcie to molex adapter

Your power supply may not be enough, I believe a 500 watt ps is recommended

No Problem, the more info the better. By 'dvi' do you mean the cable, or the dvi port on the monitor?

I would tend to agree w/ Presler, that PS is nor powerful enough for the newer card & tha fact you need an adapter shows it wasn't designed for that card/power needs, inspite of working w/ the 6600gt. With age & use, that may affect using the older card again. & also does the DVi (monitor?) work anywhere now?

Thanks I think 550watt should do but I still don't know how to fix my dvi problem I know they call it plug and pray for a reason but it should be much easier to setup the dvi.

The monitor is a syncmaster p2250 I think.
