Windows updates it self automatically when automatic updating is off

Hi guys,
I turned automatic updating off. Suddenly it is on and starts updating itself. Why is this?

I'm not. The only thing that could be part of it is my other Lenovo ThinkPad but it isn't connected to my main PC

I would like an answer as well. It gets annoying when I tell my computer not to update and it does. I have to keep refreshing my laptop because the updates cause my old programs to become incompatible.
