looking to buy gaming PC help with specs - $1750~$1850

My PC is getting old now I have it since 2009 and I need new PC around the price range I've given in the title, what I'm looking for is for a really good gaming PC that could run perfectly all the new games like Battlefield 4, Watchdogs etc..
Here're few things you might want to know about my computer, I won't change my speakers / Display / Keyboard/mouse

My Display is : Dell U2311H
My Speakers are : Creative T6100 5.1
Keyboard is : Razer Blackwidow 2013
Mouse : Razer Taipan

I don't even think you need to spend that much to get some pretty terrific performance for that 1080p monitor. Just get yourself a decent Z87 motherboard, an i5-4670k with a cooler like the 212 evo or similar, a 780ti and then any storage or fancy features you want and you'd be all set.

Not sure if you need to spend that much on a case, or really need an SSD unless you like really fast load times... but you will get a general idea from that article.

Hey thanks for helping here bud, I might forgot to mention that I'm looking for more storage around the 2TB, as for now I have like 80gb ssd for os and 1tb for other stuff and I have only around 430 left GB from this 1TB and not to mention that I've uninstalled alot of games just to make some space because it was almost empty, now , I don't play all of these games ofc but with the new generation of consoles tons of new games that I'm sure I'll play I think I need that 2TB, also SSD could be nice but since I'll have alot of games I couldn't install them all on the SSD because there'll be no space and steam install all your games in 1 directory without asking you and even if there was a way for me to choose a path for installation I think its kinda uncomfortable having some games on the ssd and some on the hdd, so do you think I need an SSD after all ? if so what should I store in the SSD, maybe only the OS ?
Also another thing to mention that I thing I /might/ need 16GB since I might want to try and learn 3D rendering programs, game engines, modeling programs andsuch programs, and I know rendering, and real time rendering takes alot of RAM so should I go with 16GB ? would be helpfull if you'll update that righ for me

Something like this is exactly what I'm talking about. That's a pretty beastly machine.

You don't actually need the SSD, but it makes your machine feel really snappy and fast. You amy want to consider a 60GB SSD and use Intel SRT to cache your spinning disk. That way you don't have to move stuff back and forth between the drives, but you still get the nice fast boot times and snapiness of the SSD on things you run regularly, but also have the space and convenience of only one drive letter and a spinning disk.

You don't need an 850 watt power supply, a 650 would do just fine, and simple here will work just fine too.

You don't need to spend so much on a case, but high quality cool feature cases generally get expensive.

You could get a Evo 212 CPU cooler instead of the water cooling and save 50 bucks there, unless you really want to push/tweak your overclocking as much as you can.

That's basically the top gaming card you can buy. You can get a regular 780 or even an AMD 290x and it's still a crazy machine, and that would save near 200 bucks.

So, lots of options for you to consider.

I don't intend to OC anything since I dont have experience with it, just a normal gamer looking for a PC, so no OC for me, also what about the things I mentioned 1 post before / and @Traciatim what is Intel SRT and what does it mean to cache my spinning disk ?

I use it on my desktop at home, and use a similar thing on my laptop for work. Essentially it works just like a regular memory cache. You know when you open something and it takes a while the first time, but then you close it and open it again it's near instant? It's because the files are still in memory which acted as a cache for recently accessed info.

The same concept here except because it's on an SSD it persists through restarting your machine. It keeps track of all the data you access on your drive and your most common stuff will be kept in the SSD while the rest of it will work just like it does on the spinning disk anyway.

The max you can allocate to it using Intel's SRT feature is 60GB, so you'd want a 60 or 64GB SSD and whatever spinning disk (you mentioned a 2TB) you want. It's pretty straight forward to set up. It's also completely transparent to your OS so it doesn't show up like a drive letter and you don't have to worry about copying data back and forth, you just use it like you would if you had only one drive.

The drawbacks are it still takes a while to write to the drive, since it has to write data to the spinning disk anyway, but I was pretty impressed when I set mine up and I almost hated using my computer one day when I disabled it as a troubleshooting step for an issue I was having.

It's not very popular because it doesn't benchmark well, but in actual usability it's pretty great.

ok sorry for misleading, asking here for spec wasn't a good idea since I live in Israel and if I order from outside of the country the taxes are like $850 so its not a good idea to order from outside of the country and here we don't have computer stores with all the parts you told me + not in sane prices aswell, so I asked for people to make me a computer build in my budget using what stores in my country have to offer and they did, now this what what they giave me :

As long as your case is in good shape I would certainly reuse it. Also, I would swap out that motherboard for a Z87 based board. Next I would drop it from the 4770 to the 4670k since that saves a good amount of money and the gaming performance isn't that much different (and probably better if you do a slight overclock to the 4670k). Then switch out to 8GB of RAM instead of 16GB unless you have some specific purpose that you know you need more than 8GB.

That should bring the price down to well within your range and give you a great gaming machine.

About the case how could I know if its in a good shape ? I mean its just sitting here all the time is there anyway to know ? (maybe fans being rusty or something else ? ) btw the reason why i consider new case is because the HAF932 fits exactly to where I put my PC (there's a place in my desktop that is specificly designed to put PCs in, and the HAF932 fits near perfect from the sides from the top and from the back so when I first bought it I didnt thought of its size but it might be a bad things because its harder for the air to come in and get out out there so maybe I should get new case?

I haven't seen watchdog specific benchmarks, but I very much doubt the quad core 4670k overclocked would run it slower than a 4770 that isn't. Maybe they found some decent way to squeeze better gaming performance out of hyperthreading, but keep in mind that both the 4670k and 4770k are quad core CPU's. Anything I read shows the ultra demo videos being rendered on a 3930k hex core with a titan (which should be similar to a 780ti for most gaming scenarios).

Plus, it's an ubisoft game, so 3 of your 4 cores are probably just there to manage DRM and make the experience [removed].

The thing about hard drives is that most cases have enough bays that you can easily add or remove drives as you need them. I usually install my Steam folder on a second or third HD and then all the games are loaded onto the second drive freeing the space from the SSD. It does seem a bit weird but trust me it doesn't affect gaming performance in any way shape or form. The biggest bottleneck in any given PC is always the primary hard drive but these days that usually isn't a problem.

If you're going to use your PC for things other than gaming then yeah the extra RAM purchase is warranted. But the bad thing is that RAM is so expensive right now that it's hard to justify buying more than you need. Get what you can now and then if / when prices drop add more. That's the way I see it.

Yeah next time you should definitely mention that in your OP because otherwise (like I did :lol: ) most posters will just blindly use the US version of PC Part Picker. Unfortunately that website currently only works for 8 countries - USA, Canada, UK, Italy, Germany, Spain and France. Knowing local availability always helps.
