Hey there,

I'm currently running through a spell of bother with my PC.

Around a year ago, my PSU effectively blew up on me rendering my PC useless. Being a student, I'm not particularly rich, and purchased a Novatech 750w PSU (No namer i know) :(

However, ever since, when playing games such as battlefield 4, BLOPS2, my pc randomly freezes up and just begins to reboot.

EDIT : FROM 26/05/2014 I HAVE NOW UPDATED THE PSU AND AM NOW RUNNING A CORSAIR RM850. THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS.

Here is my system specs:

BIOS: BIOS Date: 05/18/11 10:38:43 Ver: 24.01
Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 955 Processor (4 CPUs), ~3.2GHz
Memory: 8192MB RAM
GPU Card name: AMD Radeon HD 7800 Series
PSU: EDITED: CORSAIR RM850

EDIT:
HAVING UPDATED THE PSU THE PROBLEM STILL PERSISTS. ANY HELP AND RECOMMENDATION ON PRODUCTS IS APPRECIATED

Thankyou

Either PSU or MOBO. Try a CMOS reset. I would save up and get a Seasonic, XFX, or higher end Corsair PSU off of Newegg.

The MOBO Was fine before it blew, and I've been reading that cheap PSU's are not generally that good. So I think that a PSU upgrade is needed anyway. I'll start looking at MOBO's too

It the PSU solves it then we know the MOBO is fine. If not, the MOBO is a fault. If it was a bad PSU and it blew it could have damaged the rest of the unit.
