I would like to build my own pc. Mainly for gaming. I have my parts and everything ready to order, but I don't feel confident building the PC myself.

Buying a custom built PC, I'll have everything assembled for me and ready to go once it arrives. This really is a last resort option for me because it is mighty expensive for what you get and you don't get to choose your parts.

My third option is this. I go to MicroCenter and have them assemble the parts for a $100 fee. They said that I can get all the parts from them and they'll guarantee working parts or i can order from wherever I want but if the parts are defective I'm responsible for the labor fee still.

Do you guys think this is a good compromise? Has anyone had a bad experience with them in the past or have a reason why you think this isn't a good idea?

Thanks!

you can build it yourself, just watch a youtube video on how to build a pc, newegg.tv and linustechtips have great videos, and its not as hard as you might think, its pretty much just put the pieces in the slots and bam! you got a working pc :p  and btw, what are the parts you picked out?

Yeah its really easy and I enjoy it. If you watch a few guides and do your research you shouldn't have any problems.

Basically, LEGO for adults.

But if you're not really comfortable doing it, $100 might not be bad. Just realize that it is the '19 year old new kid' putting it together.

yeah, not that its bad for a 19 year old new kid to build it, its just that easy that someone with very little experience can do. and yes, its pretty much legos for adults XD
