I recently just installed a gtx 660, the msi twin frozr oc model. When I started playing Arkham Origins, about 10 minutes in my pc just shuts down. I researched this problem and the most likely cause was that my gpu was overheating, so I did some tests. I ran Arkham Origins again, but this time in windowed mode, and I had CPUID HWMonitor and MSI Afterburner open as well. As I was playing I kept a watch on the temperature of the gpu and the fan speed. This time when my pc shut down, I noticed that the temperature was only 67 degrees Celsius and that the fan speed was at 44%. I'm relatively a pc noob so I don't know if there's a solution to this or if I just have to send back my card?
Also the gpu is idling right now at 32 degees celsius.

This is the gpu:

Make sure your power supply can handle the amps required for the 660. If you can, try the card in a different machine. Make sure to send back the card if you can't get it to work.

didn't see this second part. No I got it used for 160. Also I installed 660 after uninstalling a hd7770. Don't know if I uninstalled it correctly though. I just went to Control Panel>Hardware and Sound>Device Manager>Display Adapters>HD 7770 I right clicked HD 7770 and just selected uninstall.
