Im upgrading the GPU in my XPS 8300 and needing to upgrade the PSU but i was reading that some XPS PSU might be hard to upgrade so i was wondering if anyone knew of a good PSU that would work in the XPS 8300

I had an XPS 8100 and you will want a smallish PSU. It doesn't need to be tiny, but I would recommend a ~550w PSU slightly smaller than a Rosewill HIVE 550w. Also watch the GPU length. The HDD cage got in the way on mine.

The 660 should be good, but you might want to look into AMD. Their r9 270 non-x is usually a great deal under $200. Seems to beat the 660 in a good many games.
