Hey all,

I am looking to upgrade my home computer but I am having trouble with what I should be upgrading. I am a big gamer (mainly steam games and blizzard games) and then all the normal computer processing stuff for work and whatnot. Haven't had any problems at all and usually can run most things at high, but not ultra settings.

I am looking mainly for a video card, memory, SSD, and possibly a processor upgrade if needed.
My current specs are as follows:

Video Card - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 1 GB
Memory - 6 GBs (Maximum 16 GB) Running 7 Home Premium x64
HDD - 1 TB WDC WD1002FAEX-00Y9A0 (using about 450 GB)
Processor - AMD Phenom II x6 1055T 2800 Mhz
Motherboard - Gigabyte, GA-870A-UD3

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also as for a budget I am thinking medium like $300-500 total. Thank you all very much

what PSU do you have?
You can probably upgrade your Videocard to an NVIDIA GTX 560 Ti.
You can get a 1100T CPU upgrade, but it will be only about 14% better.

You can get some ram like the DDR3-1066/DDR3-1333/DDR3-2000 (overclocked) ram (more ram is always good...)

For $500 you could upgrade to a current gen i5 and a 750Ti/760

I'd also go to an DDR3-1600 8GB RAM kit. If you can wait on the SSD you could get a better i5 CPU or a better GPU.

Your other specs can wait as upgrading them now will not be useful (consider upgrading ram in a year or two)

I have a 700w PSU. In addition I also have liquid cooling, not sure which model though. Is there a way to use those items on the current motherboard as I am not 100% sure how to install those but everything else I am fairly confident with.
