What router for a fiber optic connection?

Solution
Many routers can exceed 100m on wired connections. Depends how much you wish to spend. When price is the key factor tplink tends to offer good performance for low costs. Their top router ac1750 is close to the netgear or asus devices but is about 1/2 the price. These are still way faster than 100m. If you would move to 802.11ac it is also the only way you could think to get close to 100m on wireless. Still if you just want a cheap router that is somewhat better than your current one for $50 you can get a bunch that can go 100m something like a netgear wnr3500 or a tplink wdr3600

The router is indeed old, but it never 'caused me any problems because the fastest internet I've had was 20/2. The Nighthawk is rather expensive. I have Northland Fiber. They're a smaller company and the people I talked too weren't very helpful for recommending a router.
