Okay.. So Im getting a second card..

Do I need to have the SAME exact card to crossfire?

The second card im getting is a GV-R797TO-3GD
and the first one I have is a GV-R797TO-3GD

Is it that the model numbers HAVE to match to CF... ooorrrr does it need to be the SAME exact everything

if they are both 7970 it's fine (the 2 gpu's you mentioned have the exact same model number anyway)

No. Unlike Nvidia, if two amd cards have the same architecture, they will crossfire. Meaning all cards with Tahiti architecture (280x,280,7970,7950,7870XT) can be crossfire to each other regardless of brand or model number.
