I want to know if i can overclock my AMD R9 270 (non x) with a Corsair CX500 power supply and a MSI 970A-G43 mainboard. I already have a FX6300 boost to 4.1 GHz with 6 core.

Thank for the help.

Well, I was pretty serious. I'd say just reduce the overclocking for now, and eventually buy another motherboard. Just wanted to let you know, so if it did catch on fire you'd know why.

You have a g43 mobo? I'd recommend throwing that thing out a damn window before it lights on fire! These things are NOTORIOUS for catching on fire, especially when overclock. Anyways, yes it is safe to overclock the cpu, it use's max 200 watts under load. But PLEASE buy another motherboard before you catch your stuff on fire.
