I am looking for a power supply good enough to handle the following system build but also cheap enough for a budget no more than $900:

1. G.skill RipjawsX 8GB (4GB x 2) DDR3-1866
2. Toshiba 3.5-Inch 2TB 7200 RPM SATA3/SATA 6.0 GB/s 64MB Hard Drive
3. ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 AM3+, AMD 990X, SATA 6Gb/s, USB 3.0, ATX, AMD Motherboard
4. Gigabyte GTX760 GDDR5-4GB
5. AMD FX-8320 FX-Series 8-Core Black Edition

The two power supplies I have been looking at were the evga 500b and the corsair cx500. Should I be looking at something with more power, or should I be looking at different companies? If not, which psu is better?

Solution
The minimum system requirement for the graphics card listed is 500 Watts. It is reasonable to bump up that figure to 600 watts. Don't go the cheap route on the PSU. It is the last line of defense against power surges, and if it fails it can take other components with it. Is the extra $25 or $50 that important to you when compared to total cost of the computer build?

i used the NEWEGG PSU CALC and it says you need about 496 W PSU. I would Suggest geting a 550W (if money allows) to allow for future expansion and to have a lower margin of error than 4W (not all PSUs are built equal.) I personaly would choose Corsair or Cooler Master: Extreme Power Plus 500W.

I'm trying to go for about $60 but if I have to $80 is tops. I'm just worried if I get 500w my system won't get enough power to run at its fullest

Yea you have a good point. Would you trust Corsair's or EVGA's 600 watt psus or stick with seasonic? Because I've seen 80plus gold for one of them or both of them I wasn't sure if that made a big difference. And if you don't mind can you put a link to a psu you recommend?
