Hello there, I am planning on getting the V-MODA Crossfade M-100 headphones soon and was wanting to get a sound card for when I use them at home. Does anyone have a good suggestion for a sound card that will work and sound well while not breaking the bank?

Also I have a question relating to in-game audio: Ever since I first built my pc in late August 2012 my audio would cut off when opening/closing a game. This affects not only game audio, I can't hear anything on my computer (except maybe skype) until I unplug the headphone jack and re-plug it in. On most games the sound doesn't work when its initially booted up (battlefield, civ 5, cs:go, etc). But for a few games it's not until I close the game or tab out of it that the sound stops (TF2) [also in tf2 re-plugging used to immediately bring the sound back but recently it takes about 5 minutes]

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD3H just in case if that info might be helpful.

depending on whether you want to plug into the pci or pcie slots.

PCI is cheaper if you can use either.
