BEFORE YOU POST, this is not the place for fan boys. If you say one component is better than the other please give links that prove so and do not discard components as bad because you personally do not like them.

Here's my build: http://pcpartpicker.com/p/3AQqd

Approximate purchase date: within the next two weeks or so

Budget range:$1500

System usage: Major gaming, recording, video editing, multitasking, watching videos while gaming

Monitor: using two that I already have

Parts to upgrade: new build

OS: already have windows 7

Location: Connecticut

Overclocking: just up to 4.0 ghz on my cpu for now and in the future I'm planning on building a custom water cooling loop to pc it to around 4.6 hopefully. I'll probably OC the 290 so it gives similar performance to the 290x or close to it without blowing the bank.

Sli/CFX: in the future most likely.

Screen res: 3840x1080p ( 2 monitors )

Upgrade reason: selling old rig because with only 2gb of VRAM I couldn't watch 1080p videos while gaming.

Additional comments: I may have a little more room in the budget for either more ram or more storage. I NEED to use the nzxt h440 case and I also want a red/black theme. ANY suggestions or advice on this build would be appreciated. Also, will the 212+ cool the i7 effiecently and will the 750w psu give me enough headroom in the future to run cfx/sli? Thanks!

Thanks Blackbird, I forgot about the gskill snipers! Same CAS as he corsairs I was looking at but with a higher frequency. The PSU also looks like a beast. My only question now is do you know of any better fans because I feel like these would be kind of cheap and not work as well as other fans. Any suggestions or do you thing these fans would suffice for now? Thanks!
