Hello guys,

I am trying to build a gaming PC for upcoming games such as Wildstar(not optimized yet) and Watchdogs.

I am stuck on deciding for my CPU however, I can't pick between i5-4670k and i7-4770k. I've read a lot of other topics with ppl having similiar issues and still can't decide for mine. Also benchmarks show little to no differences.

Other than my CPU I'm also stuck on deciding for my GPU, would I have enough with a gtx 770 2gb or do u guys say go for something more like the MSI GeForce GTX 770 Gaming 4GB? Honestly I have little knowledge on the GPU part on which is best to pick so any info is welcome with suggestions.

Other than those 2 I've already decided on the following parts:

Motherboard: msi z87-gd65
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro Series 2x 8GB 2133MHz
Cooler: Corsair Hydro H100i
PowerSupply: Corsair AX860, 860 Watt
SSD: Samsung EVO 250 GB
HDD: (my current 1TB HDD)
Case: (current one)

What would you guys suggest to go with for my CPU and GPU? My budget does play a role, max I can spend is 1200 Euro's. However, let's say if I were able to affort spending 100 Euro more to get one or the other part, would it be money well spend?

Thanks in advance, any info is appreciated!

For gaming, the difference between the 4770K and the 4670K is non-exsistant.
It's not worth it if all you're going to be doing is gaming. The performance increase is not going to be good at all, but if you're doing video editing, rendering or visual effects, the story is changed.

But from what you've said, the question is "i5-4670k or i7-4770k for gaming"
So to answer it, the i5 4670K is a better value.

Oke thanks for the reply. Would you have any suggestion on my GPU as well to go with? Or do I have to make a new post for that part since this topic was mainly based on my CPU?

Thanks in advance guys!

I see, thanks for the fast replies! I will look into your suggestion on the motherboard and GPU but you guys definitely decided for my CPU. Since I will mainly play games on the new PC I will settle with the i5-4670k.

Thanks again and I will do a little more research on my GPU. I am not sure if the gtx 770 2gb will be enough for me, if it's not enough I probably end up regretting that so I'll see if I can come up with a better one before my final decision..
