I wouldn't recommend you 60GB SSD because it will fill pretty fast.
Also Kingston SSD's aren't that good compared to Samsung SSD's.

Also if no OC then this build :)

It is a little over your budget: http://

This meets your requirements except the budget. You should not need an aftermarket cooler if you do not overclock. A sound card is not necessary. Most people do not prefer buying a sound card anyway. I am not sure what you mean by rebates for high school students.

CPU cooler would worth but not case fans, the case that I added has good airflow and adding case fans won't make much sense.

The HDD cage is removable, with removed HDD cage you can install GPU with length up to 400mm :)
I have similar case and bottom HDD cage is enough for 2 drives

from a fellow aussie
this at pccasegear

Asrock z87 Killer motherboard $179

Corsair CS650M Modular 80 Plus Gold Power Supply $139
Samsung 840 EVO Series 120GB SSD $109

BenQ GL2760H 27in Widescreen LED Monitor $285
CoolerMaster CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle $45
( Keyboard and mouse)

edit: sorry forgot windows ,
Microsoft Windows 8.1 64bit OEM $115

Total $1728 leaves you $272 for case of your choice

Dear, If you are not planning to overclock then don't buy k series CPUs from Intel. Also you don't need aftermarket cooler in case you buy non-k CPU. Case Fans would be helpful to ensure the good air flow inside the case.
