CPU sockets ?

Sooooo i have 2 laptops one has a busted screen and i wanted to switch the cpu from that one to the other. The only problem is that it is a different socket (it is a amd vision A8 and the other one is a amd vision premium). This might be a stupid question but can i change the sockets on motherboards ?? lol

you cant change the sockets, they are permanent. the best thing you could do, and this may not even be an option, is buy a new cpu to put in it that is the same socket and compatible. also, you could replace the screen on the laptop thats busted, its usually pretty cheap :p

Well its not just the screen its the frame of the screen. I would probably have to get a hole new screen.
