I have an extra computer laying around with the following parts :
ECS Geforce6100pm-m2 (v2.0) , AMD Athlon 64 x2 5200+ , GeForce 9600GT Low power , WD Caviar Blue 500gb , and a trash generic old PSU to get it running , 4gb ram (2x2gb). Think its possible to get this computer running games at a decent FPS maybe in medium settings? FYI : This is not going to be my primary computer. If this were to be my primary i would go with a completely different build.
I'm probably going to throw in a Corsair 430CX, Phenom x4 processor ( not sure which one yet ), Different video card ( haven't thought about it ), and perhaps keep the ram sticks in there since i dont have a problem with it. Since this is more of a "side" project, im not going to throw my whole wallet at this upgrade lol

Any new games will destroy such old hardware, only if you are looking to play old games would it be worth putting it together, you could however part it out and sell the parts on ebay to make some decent money, a lot better than throwing away

Really? I played a couple games on it before and it can run some games on low settings at a steady 60 fps. On medium, its 55~ fps but temp rises to 56~c on average.
