Can a E5-1600 v2 CPU run on a Dual E5-2600 CPU motherboard ?

Hi, I'm wanting eventually buy 2 x E5-2690 processors when the V3 series come out in a few months, but need a PC in the mean time I'm considering buying a single E5-1650 V2 but wanting to buy a dual CPU motherboard for the 2600's later on. Will a single E5-1650 2011 socket chip work in a dual socket 2011 board?

E5-1600v2 might work in an E5-2600v2 capable motherboard, but I doubt it.

However, I'm sure that E5-2600 __v3__ CPU's will be incompatible with __v2__ motherboard (and also v3 motherboards won't accept v2 procs) Different keying on the socket
