Hi there
Im looking for a photo editing laptop around the $1500-1800 mark and would love yr opinions.

Full SSD out of my price range, but thinking about buying a normal HD and swapping it out when SSDs come down in price a little. Could also swap out the optical drive as well on the below model.

There is last years MSIGE60-20c that still available and cheaper than the specked up GE60-20E ($1899).
Specs for 20c :
* 4th Gen Intel Core 17-4700MQ - 2.4GHz Turbo boost up to 3.4GHz, 6MB cache (but was told they had the one up from this now installed - 4800??)
* NVIDIA GeForce GT750 2GB GDDR5
* 8GB DDR3 RAM / 750GB HDD (7200rpm)
* 15.6" Full HD Anti Glare (1920-1080)
* Windows 8.1

I know its not a GTX, but running at 7200rpm and a GDDR5, hopefully that will make a difference.

I am coming from a dinosaur Compaq Presario with vista, so anything is going to be magical for me.

I'm constantly running into RAM issues while photoshopping !

So at $1599 which I think is the $2013 prices, should I bargain hard, esp as Im a cash buyer ? Maybe ask to get the RAM upgraded to 16GB for that price (was told that wld cost me $100)

Thats alot of money for a laptop with those specs. In my country (Holland) you can buy such laptops for 1090 bucks ( http://tweakers.net/pricewatch/340277/msi-ge70-2oe-015nl/specificaties/ )

Oops I forgot to say that this is Singapore Dollars, not US Dollars. So $1599 Sing is about $1280US or $1272 Euro. But yes a still little pricey. That's with no bargaining as well and its the catalog price, so I have room.

I also think the GE60-20c might be called GE60-ONC ?? in other countries.
