Hi, I want to play games like assassins creed black flag and BF4. I am not sure how the CPU will affect gaming in these two laptops.

GX70 3BE specs:

- AMD A10-5750M 2.5GHz
- 17.3" 1920x1080 Full HD
- 8GB DDR3 1600MHz
- AMD Radeon HD 8970M 2GB
- Windows 8 64 bit

GE70 2OE specs:

-Intel Core i7 Sharkbay 4700QM 3.4Ghz
(4th Generation)
-8GB DDR3
-nVidia GeForce GTX 765 2GB
-Windows 8 64 bit

The i7 owns the AMD CPU, but the Radeon owns the nVidia card. What laptop would be better for gaming? Keeping the processors in mind? I don't know much about how these aspects would affect gaming performance.

Thank you in advance!

the CPU effects in gaming, but not as much as the graphics card. With the CPU/GPU performance advantages, the AMD A10 along with the 8970M is the better choice.

Assassins creed black flag, though i don't have a game benchmark, from the GPU card needed, it will do exceptionally well, as it is above the recommended card, by a lot. For cards lower then the 8970M, they do well.

The recommended GPU for Assassins Creed black flag is for a desktop, but this is a comparison compared to the 8970M;

8970M is the better card therefore will do really will in that game. This is your AMD CPU compared to the recommended for the game...
Hi and welcome to the forums!

oh, the AMD CPU does offer some kick, but not a match for the i7, but with the 8970M, it will truely make it the better choice of Laptop, especially for gaming as the Graphics card effects the most gaming performance, the AMD A10 CPU will not let down your GPU.

BF4 runs better of AMD components, as it runs off their engine! (mantle, frostbite) So it has the better driver over Nvidia, offering better performance.

And Assassins Creed black flag? What does the CPU affect in gaming? If only they made a i7 with the Radeon, sigh. The Radeon has a way better frame rate than the nVidia. If I were to suddenly get the urge to play something like tera (MMORPG), would the CPU affect gameplay? Choices choices. Random note though, in the past I have found that the graphics card has more of an effect than the cpu, but there is quite a difference between the i7 and A10. I just want to be sure I guess, lol

Very close, the CPU recommended is also for a desktop, your using a laptop, it is a mighty CPU for that game also.

Go for the A10 + 8970M, it's screaming the best answer.
