Hello, I am looking to upgrade my rig as it is LONG overdue.. i havent upgraded in a long time due to being busy and financial issues also, but now i think its finally due !

My Current Rig (OLD):
AMD 6000+ X2 Dual Core Processor @ 3.00GHZ
4GB Corsair @800MHZ
Gigabyte M57-SLI
Geforce GTX460
Corsair 650W PSU

---------------------------------

Now ive been having a look around and have put a build together. Here is what i have so far:

Intel Core i7 4770K Quad Core @3.50GHZ
ASUS Z87-C Socket 1150 Mobo
Corsair 8GB (2x4gb) DDR 3 1866MHZ Vengeance Pro Kit (CL9)
Zalman Z11 Plus High Performance Mid Tower Case
And will probably use my current GTX 460 as its stil FAIRLY new, which i can upgrade a bit later in they year.
And same for the PSU.
--------------------------------

In total this build comes to £449.74 ($756.06 , 547.51 Euro)

NOW, i am open to suggestion on any changes to this rig as i haven't really been up to date with PC components lately ..
Read that the 4770K was one of the best choices nowadays as it can be overclocked etc.. (as i was tempted to purchase a 6-core or 8-core AMD CPU) but read up they didn't perform as well, and that the quad core would be sufficient enough and that games wouldn't REALLY take full advantage of 6/8 core CPU's for another 4/5 years.
Read that 1866 MHZ memory was sufficient (as i also was gonna go higher but read that wasn't really too big of an advantage)

Now I dont really have a budget AS SUCH, but dont wanna spend CRAZY CRAZY money as im not that rich ha ha. But would still love to take advantage of all new game releases (New batman game, GTA 5, black ops 2 etc etc)

As i say please throw suggestions my way and also corrections on allegations i may have made that may be incorrect as i said im not too sharp with components nowadays and have only really gathered information via Google.

Thank you,
Rob.

Well, i do a bit of streaming and some recording.. but i also want it to be fairly future-proof, and i think its only an extra £11 for the i7 so thought why not.... you think its worth getting a new graphics card too then ?

Thanks for the reply.

OK thanks for the input, I will definetly be adding one of those to my cart then.

Aside from that, do you have any other thoughts/suggestions on the rest of the build..

Also, just to mention i will need 2 new HDD's (as mine are screwed).. any suggestions on this? As i have no clue about the differences vs. SSD's and HDD's or whatever.

Thank you.
