My Toshiba Satellite C660 running on windows 7 keeps popping up disk error even after replacing it with a new one. Any useful help is welcomed.

When and where does it come up with the error and what exactly does the error say? Is it an actual Windows or system message or could it be coming from a fake system checker software? Did you use a NEW drive or a used one? You can install a drive checker program from the hard drive vendor to do a scan with.

Try a clean install of Windows but DONT BACKUP ANYTHING EXCEPT SOFTWARE YOU PAID FOR AND LOST THE LICENSE KEY

Or, download ubuntu from www.ubunutu.com, put it in a pendrive by using the software from www.pendrivelinux.com, and select Try Ubuntu when asked to install

If the disk error does not pop up in Ubuntu, it's probably a virus and you will need to reinstall Windows
