I recently upgraded graphics card from previous sli 670. Installed card as usual computer started, updated drivers. Tried playing titanfall and the computer just turned off and restarted itself. Tried doing a stress test and didn't even make it a second, no bsod just the computers restarts itself. Not sure what to do. Did I get a bad card?

I don't have another computer but I was messing with the settings on precision. turned the power target up and it somehow fixed the problem. is this a problem?

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:
•GeForce GTX 780 Ti - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
•GeForce GTX 780 Ti 2-way SLI - On your average system the cards require you to have a 800 Watt power supply unit as minimum.

Quote from the Hexus review:
"Pushing out such performance panache requires more juice than the competition. Evaluated as a system, EVGA's card pulls an extra 50W over the Gigabyte. How is this possible, you may ask? The Classified runs with an under-load voltage of 1.162V compared with 1.1V for the Gigabyte."

Yes the card is brand new and the power target was 100% at normal but I pushed it up at 150. I just want to know if this a bad thing for the graphics card. I just don't know why it won't work at 100 when that's stock. Or do I need to get a better psu with more power but from what I read 750w should be more than enough.

superredfred can you check the gpu using a psu which is greater than 750w?so you can solve this easily..

You need to try some basic troubleshooting, but your system is a high powered one with higher than normal power needs. Cutting it close with your power supply is never a good thing and a deal breaker in a system with dual Classifieds.

@yakamaster: Those are all top picks, but I like Asus a little bit more than the others.

@yakamaster no I don't, I have my old one but that one is only 450w
@17 seconds do you have any recommendations on psu's. I might just get a new one to see if that fixes the problem.

Stick with Corsair and bump up to the 850 watt HX model. You'll never have to worry about power problems again.
