Keyboard AND Mouse NOT WORKING ON LENOVO G505 LAPTOP

i restarted my computer and when it came back on it was stuck on the windows 8 login screen im not able to press any keys nor am i able to use the touchpad/mouse.

Does anyone no what the problem could be?

Power off an on again and see if it works. You might have lost the mouse and/or keyboard drivers

Try your mouse and keyboard in different usb ports.

Try a standard wired mouse.

ive tried turning it on/off again and it hasn't helped ive plugged my keboard and mouse in from my computer and can now get into windows. Any idea how i can get them to work on the laptop?

im going to try updating to 8.1 as ive read on another site that this solved their problem
