Hey y'all members of these forums, I've decided that I wanna crank up my gaming experience and build a PC for the first time. I've got the parts, and my only problem really is that I don't know if they're all compatible. Plus, if possible, what other parts should I get and what can i get cheaper/drop off?

OS: Windows 7 Home Premium OEM 64-bit
Case: Cooler Master Storm Scout II Advance ATX
Power Supply: Corsair CX600W V2 CX-series 600 W ATX
CPU: Intel Core i5 4670K 3.4 GHz LGA1150
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z87P-D3 Intel Z87 LGA 1150 ATX
RAM: G.Skill Sniper DDR3 1866 Mhz 8 GB (2 x 4 GB)
Graphics Card: Asus GTX660-DC2OCPH-2GD5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX660 2048 MB (lots of numbers :) )
Hard Drive: WD Blue 1 TB SATA3 7200RPM 64 MB 3,5"
WiFi Card: Asus PCE-N15 Wireless N300 PCIe
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24F1ST
Monitor: Philips 243V5LHAB/00 24" LED-monitor
Keyboard: SteelSeries 6Gv2 Mechanical Keyboard
Mouse: Steelseries Sensei

I'm thinking about getting an SSD, but I'm not exactly sure if it's required.

Thanks in advance!

Why don't you go w/ Windows 8.1 64-bit. Its seems you're in the right budget but I'd suggest to get GTX 760 or 770 its newer and its faster. What is you're budget ?

Personally I just prefer Windows 7 over Windows 8, I find it as a matter of opinion. I'm still not quiet sure about the graphics card, I might go with the MSI GeForce GTX 770. My budget revolves around 1200 euros, so 980 pounds. Then again I wouldn't mind it being less.

If I'm not mistaken its around $1600, with that budget its a must to get an SSD I suggest that fix some components prices and get an SSD, but SSD's are luxurious and somewhat optional, just upgrade it later if you want :)  your system are all compatible just to make sure check it all in pcpartpicker.com it detects the compatibility of your components that you'll buy. MSI GTX 770 HAWK is the biggest OC card of all GTX 770 while Twin Frozr version is good also
