I've never encountered this issue before, and I'm stumped. I have someone who occasionally (maybe 1 out of every 10 print jobs) has the print dialogue box list of printers appear empty for the list of printers. The crazy thing is that they *are* still there, and can have jobs successfully sent to them. If you click where they would normally be in the list, they are still there. They're simply invisible. They also show up just find in the devices and printers list.
This is all happening on a windows 7 machine. The printers all use IP ports and I've tried reinstalling them, right down to blowing out the drivers before reinstall, though I feel like this is a windows issue. I also tried sfc /scannow....nothing.
Anyone ever seen this before, or know how/have any ideas on how to fix it, short of reimaging the machine?
