I have a Netgear WNR1000 ver-3, every once in a while I get disconnected from my wifi while using Chrome or Firefox, I then open Explorer and get a message saying I am disconnected from my network and a tab to fix connection problems, when I click on the tab, it goes through a series of fixes until it says a network cable is unplugged, but the internet then comes back up, is there anything I can do to stop this from happening, thanks

Could be a sign of a dying/overheating router. It doesn't sound like you are doing any bandwidth/router intensive activities at the time it drops so the router may just be about ready to be replaced.

Also check for a firmware update for your router that may address this issue.
