So I recently bought a sound card as I had heard that they were amazing. The card is www.amazon.co.uk/Express-Normalizer-Virtual-Speaker-Shifter/dp/B007RMMYFI. So, after installing the drivers I put my headset on and expected it to be amazing. However it seems to be just as muffled and dull sounding as the inbuilt audio on my motherboard. My headset is http://www.amazon.co.uk/Creative-Fatal1ty-Detachable-Cancelling-Microphone/dp/B00FNK8MK2/ref=sr_1_1?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1398875471&sr=1-1&keywords=creative+fatal1ty. So I was just wondering if someone would be able to suggest what is wrong, if someone has had experiences with this sound card or if I was just hoping for too much and it is the fault of my headset instead. Thanks in advance.

Try playing 2 copies of the same music on your computer and on your phone. If it sounds better on your phone then the headphones should be fine and it might be something wrong with the settings. Asus sound cards are really good in reliability so unless you got a messed up sound card, with a messed up on board one, it's likely the headphones or settings.
