Hello All, I'm trying to decide between a ASUS i7-4770 w/8gb mem & 1TB HD vs HP i5-4440 w/12Gb & 2TB HD

Solution
well it depends on what you need the pc for?

the intel i7 4770 is more expensive and it's one main feature over the intel i5 is Hyper threading, which allows you to run CAD,editing programs much faster. No real gaming difference between the two.
If it's for gaming go with the cheaper option the i5.
If you're buying for memory intensive programs and Multi-threaded performance then the Intel i7 is the better option. good luck

it depends what you're going to use it for, for gaming I'd go with the i5 option. Do you have a gpu? I'd also suggest the Xeon 1230 v3, it's about the same price as the i5 and has hyperthreading, so 8 threads total, it just has no integrated graphics at all. If I had of known about the Xeons when I was building my pc I would of went with one probably. They're a little kept secret I didn't know about at the time.
