Hi,

i have a HP Laptop dv6-6170us with the following specs:

OS: Windows 8.1 Pro N 64-Bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2630QM CPU Quad-core @ 2.00GHz | 6MB Cache
RAM: 6GB DDR3 SDRAM (2GB ELPIDA 1333MHz + 4GB Samsung 1333MHz)
GPU1: AMD Radeon HD 6770M 1 GB GDDR5 725 MHz
GPU2: Intel(R) HD Graphics 3000
HDD: Hitachi HTS547575A9E384 750GB | 5400rpm

I played from about two months ago Battlefield 4 and i put the game graphics settings on High and i finished the whole campaign without any lagging problems of any sort.
After a month i bought BF3 to play with some friends online.
As i started the game i changed the graphics settings to high (i thought that an older game should work smother than its successor on the same settings) so i started the campaign but it lagged so hard, it was barley playable.
i kept lowering the settings and testing the game until i set everything on LOW to be able to play.

I started playing and it worked „smother“ but in dark areas in buildings or in big areas where are multiple enemies i experienced a lot of lagging and in some online maps like "seine crossing" and "Operation metro" it was really unplayable.
After preforming game & driver updates and searching online for a solution i installed Fraps to check my FPS rate during gameplay and then i compared BF3 and BF4.
There was a huge difference between them.

Battlefield 4 (graphics settings: HIGH):
During game start videos: 200 FPS.
Game Menu: 200 FPS „it dropped 2-3 FPS while going to different lists in the menu“
During the campaign video: 30 FPS
During the missions: maximum: 55 FPS, minimum: 25 FPS

Battlefield 3 (graphics settings: LOW):
During game start Videos and menus: 30 FPS
During the missions: maximum 27 FPS, minimum 11 FPS

I checked using the task manager that my CPU and RAM aren't reaching 100% use capacity while playing the game so i think that the problem is presumably in my GPU.
Many friends told me that i need to have better hardware or a Desktop to play such games without problems but i already played many new games on it, and they all worked prefectly.
I can’t understand why BF4 works 100% better than BF3.

I wasn't able to find an explanation for the problem online, so please if anybody have a proffesional opinion or any idea that would help fixing/explaining the problem with this game please help.

Regards
Ghaiss

i disabled my Intel GPU and that made my ati GPU also stop.
i tried also to change the GPU settings in BIOS from dynamic to fixed but i effect is still the same.
