I need to choose a suitable motherboard for my upcoming build:

Yes I am aware there isn't a graphics card or PSU on the list, this is because I already own a GTX 780ti windforce GPU and CS750m Corsair PSU.
However, I need help with the motherboard, the one I've selected is an MSI brand specifically. I've heard the motherboard itself would work fine with the components I've slected, but I've also heard that MSI has bad reputation and questionable treatment of customers, along with increased chance of their specific products to fail.
Please, can someone clear that up for me, is that a lie or not?
