I got a HP ProBook 4445s from a friend to repair, the hard drive went out and I replaced it....after installing windows 7 home premium I tried to install the drivers....windows update managed to install some of the updates. not one of the drivers from hp will install on this thing...it will start and then just close out of nowhere.....I then installed the amd driver for the apu and after it installed..I got a message saying that my plugged in graphics device was uncompilable...to please unplug it. I still cant get the wifi or ethernet to work. anyone ever here of this or know how to get the right driver?

Did you replace the CPU/? Your story is a little confusing try to elaborate a bit more..

The apu has not been removed or replaced....All I did was replace the hard drive and install a new OS.... the driver that installed for the cpu cant be right...video stutters and glitches where the sound is no longer in sync. and the only driver that worked was the usb 3.0 driver...and there are other unknown devices on the laptop that are unknown.

Heres the thing.. usually when you put in a new CPU/APU or even maintenance on a old one, you dont install drivers, the system just recognizes the APU and runs it, w.e files install on yoursystem from that point are NOT "CPU/APU Drivers" they are just referance files. ALSO do you hvae a descret graphics card or just using graphics off the APU?

Then it would be impossible for the system to not be compatible with the APU... what I would do, is remove the APU, refit, then estart sytem, make sure your win 7 is a CLEAN INSTALL
