So i re-installed win 7 about a month ago, since then 3-4 times ive been getting a problem, every now and again my screens will start flashing black and say that the driver has crashed but recovered, it will then continue to flash. After about 30 seconds of this i will get a blue screen and the pc will restart and be normal. My temperatures when this happens are rarely above 50c, last time it happened my GPU was 42c and CPU 45c. I have the latest version of driver and have a 7770 card.

Do you uninstall old drivers before updating to new ones, I recommend using a sweeper like Guru3D to remove all GPU drivers and then reinstalling the newest drivers.

Ive done this, no clue if the problem has been fixed, anything else you can add that may be the problem?

Well give it some time, if you experience no problems then it is fixed, no point in looking for more options unless we know it's still a problem.
