Hi everyone !
I'd like to know if a 600w psu would be enough to power a 780 from gigabyte
Here's my build :
CPU : AMD FX-6300
CPU Cooler : H100i from Corsair
Mobo : M5A97 R2.0
RAM : 8GB Kingston Beast
GPU : Gigabyte GeForce GTX 780 2GB
Case : Zalman Z11 Plus

I have to buy everything from amazon.fr
And will my processor bottleneck the 780 ?

More about : corsair cx600 780

I would spend a bit more and get an 8320. 600 is a little low, what is your total budget?

A GeForce GTX 780 needs at least 42 amps on the 12v rail and a 600 watt power supply.

The CX600 has 46 amps on the 12v rail and is sufficient to power your specs with a 780.

It's just barely enough, though. I would spend a little more for some more clearance.

Yeah it will power it, but CX units aren't very great quality. I would get a higher-end Corsair unit (RM, HX, AX), or one from XFX/Seasonic.

RM Series are poor and use cheap capacitors.

They still have 5 year warranties. They're still good PSUs, but something like a Seasonic would work better.

http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1750bbef... This one is 80+ gold and fully modular, and will last quite a while unless you decide to crossfire or SLI. Of course it costs a lot, but it's a great PSU. Also made by Seasonic and it will allow for better cable management.

first the gtx 780 is 3gb of gddr5 ram not 2
second buy a better procesor get a 8320 is only a few dollars extra
third better buy a r9 290 is perfome as good or better than the gtx 780 and you can find it used on amazon as i did for 350 dollars
4 this psu is enought but better buy a 650w or a 700w model
and finally YOLOSWAG XD

I do not suggest a used GPU unless you find an incredible deal. Most have been heavily used by bitcoin miners. I do agree with getting an 8320, though, MicroCenter has them for $130 right now.

I have a budget of 1300€
Sorry but I went to sleep right after I made this topic
And everything has to be bought from amazon.fr
the parts are way more expensive than you guys think
I'm spending 1100€ for the build and the other 200 for the monitor , keyboard etc ...

I ended up not buying a 780
I bought 2 660's from asus , fx-6300 and a m5a99x mobo

Just out of curiosity, what made you go with the two 660's instead of a 780?

Yeah, a 660 SLI is quite a bit slower than one 780, draws more power, creates more heat, and actually doesn't offer any increased performance in some games. It probably was not your best choice.

Because it's cheaper , that's why .

I'm only gonna play BF4 , minecraft , black ops 2 , gta 4 and skyrim , so a 660 won't be a problem
