600$ GAMINg BUILD?

Ok so it wont be for a few months but Im looking to build a new rig to play games like COD BO2, Ghosts, Far Cry, at med/high settings.

Whats the best rig I could get for about 600$ to do this?

Currently I run AMD Chipset and with these specs I get alot of FPS drops in ghosts on LOW settings...... which makes no sense to me but w.e lol

MOBO- BIOSTAR A55ML2
APU- AMD A8 5600k Turbo Core'd at 3.9Ghz
GPU- GTX 750
MEM- 6gb (single thread mode because the chips dont match)
OS- Win 7

Solution
I didn't include HDD (I think you can use HDD from your old PC :D)

I don't think that the i3 will bottleneck the radeon. But I may be wrong

This is a good choice. And with the r9 280, you should be running smooth for a long time on ultra. And it's an intel cpu so points on your side. But, AMD gpus have more performance for their price and cost less that what they're competitors cost on the Nvidia side. GPU wise, you should go AMD but CPU should usually be intel

Solution
Thank you all.. But Id rather have a Nvidia GPU... I currently have the 750... and if possible Id rather have intel CPU... if not possible with this budget then that 6 core should be fine.. also I dont need 3gb vid mem because ill b running single display

Will you need an OS and HDD?

I have a 170GB HDD SATA with win 7 on it????? would this be ok?

You can use your HDD but I think you'll need to make fresh install of windows.

My build should be perfect for your needs. With the r9 280, you should be running smooth for a long time on ultra. And it's an intel cpu so points on your side. But, AMD gpus have more performance for their price and cost less that what they're competitors cost on the Nvidia side. GPU wise, you should go AMD but CPU should usually be intel. Your budget didn't have room for an i5 so I put an i3 that cost less but ran at 3.4GHZ which is a really good speed for gaming. The R9 280 is about two steps up from the 750 you have, so it'll be a 770 on the Nvidia side.
