Thanks mate, on that site you gave comparing the graphics cards

Which one do you think would run better on dayz also which one would you personally go for

DayZ is a crazy mess. I play it alot, but its rough. No matter which card oyu get, don;t expect to max it. It is simply coded far too poorly has and too many vRAM and memory leaks. I have an i5 and a gtx660ti and I struggle to keep 30+fps at normal settings.

Either card will be great for DayZ. Just know that it is not hardware limited at this point. My CPU and GPU never go over 60% usage but I can't lock the game at 60fps. It is an Alpha game. Thats what we get.

If I had to pick, I would probably go for the 280x. It is slightly cheaper and I have been with nVidia for a while now and I would love to try the 280x out.

tbh there virtually the same in performance, i my self had the r9 280x sapphire duel-x and it was a brilliant card maxed every game i played. but sadly sold it because upgrading my whole system for the billionth time in 1 year

I don't think you can go wrong with which ever card you choose. It comes down to brand and price and what your personal preferences are. I have had better luck with Nvidia then I have with AMD in the past. AMDs has improved their drivers so I may give them another try in the future.

This model of the R9-280x is getting good reviews:

By your accent I don't think your in the states so availability and prices may be different for you. Both are good cards and a good option for your build. What ever you buy have a blast with your new gaming machine!
