I'm in a predicament. There are 3 Chassis Fans that came hooked up to my case, and there are 3 CHA_FAN hook ups. But only 2 of them are 3-pin hook ups, and the other is a 4-pin. All my Chassis Fans are 3-pin. So I don't know what to do. Am I able to hook up the last Chassis Fan to a the PSU_FAN hook up, or one of the extra CPU_FAN hook ups? Or is there another solution?\

the names on the headers are suggestions and how you can tell them apart in software (bios, uefi, etc). you can hook it up to either. the 4 pin fan molex connectors should also have the slot guide to help you connect via the proper 3 pins.

Ya, am I understanding you right? All your fans are 3 pin. They will still go on a motherboard 4 pin, the plastic tab should keep you on the correct 3. Leaving the 4th pin unused.

My motherboard has 3 fan ports and I have 6 case fans.

So I just solder the fans to the generic 4-pin power cables from the PSU. Just wire them in parallel so the same voltage hits each fan.
