Hi. I have a HP laptop that has a normal headphone jack, for headphones and ear buds of course. I have some speakers that have a audio out jack (green). I have a desktop that has an import for this, but i was wondering if their is a converter to plug the green plug (audio out) to the headphone jack FOR THE LAPTOP. Please help. Thx.

you have speakers which have an audio out? are you sure that you dont mean a 3.5mm green audio input?

computer speakers normally have a green 3.5mm jack they use to connect to the computer. the rear of the soundcard has a matching 3.5mm out jack which is for headphones or the front channel of speakers.

you can connect the 3.5mm speakers to your laptop 3.5mm headphone jack and they will play fine.
