Hi,
It's my first time to build a PC. I am not sure which PSU to choose. I am planing to use this PC for gaming.

My hardware:
AMD FX 8350
EVAG gtx 760
4x2 RAM
1TB HDD
ASUS M5A99FX
Rosewill Gaming ATX Mid Tower

I am also planing to overclock

I want to be able to add a couple of extra cooling fans or a liquid cooler if necessary.

I am trying to stay on budget, but I want a choice that is going to last a while. Do you think I will need extra cooling? (The case comes with 3 fans)

Any recommendation? Thanks in advance.

you will want a cpu cooler. what sr71 suggests is pretty much the bare minimum cooler i'd go with.

his suggestion of the xfx 650w is also very sound and i agree.

in general anything on tiers 1 2 or 2b on this list is good http://community.newegg.com/eggxpert/computer_hardware/f/135081/t/45344.aspx

since amd chips are power hogs 650 will give you more than enough headroom. you could probably do it on a 550 perfectly fine but the deal on the xfx psu is pretty good for a half decent 650 so i'd go that route. a 650 is also a bit more future proof in case you decide to sli or get a beefy gpu.

also... if you havent purchased any of that hardware yet..

why didnt you go with an amd gpu for mantle?

I'd get 750 watts to allow headroom for overclocking and future upgrades. GET MORE COOLING. AMD CPU's run HOT. Plus, it's better to have more fans than not enough or the bare minimum to keep you computer from melting.

EDIT: reread you post, realized I thought it said GTX 780(dreams of my pc making me misread stuff) so you can ignore my post now.

The best budget cooler on the planet , you will need it the stock cooler isn't sufficient to cool when overclocking.

650 watts is more than enough power for your needs.

Made by the best = Seasonic.
