This is probably a stupid combination, (APU + Dedicated Card) but would an AMD A10-7850K (Kaveri) APU be a major bottleneck in recent and upcoming games when paired with an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760? What about an R9 270X?
(Like I said, this would be a stupid combination, but please don't just say "Why would you get an APU and a High-End Video Card?")

in a HTPC I use the APU A10 7850k with a GTX 750 ti and the performace is okay there is a slight bottleneck but nothing to bad the only game the APU doesn't like is planetside 2 I found. Its a very CPU intensive gave that likes CPU power and clock speed. I can see there being a little bottleneck but the kaveri line is the newest AMD technology with power savings and all that other crap that intel has had for years but overall for starts I think you would be okay. with these specs you should be able to play most games on 1080P but go for a FX 6300 you get more FPS due to the 6 core vs 4 corhttp://www.tomshardware.com/forum/28/new_thread.htme deal.
