Im building my first computer and Im trying to attach my cooler master hyper 212 evo to my cpu. I am having issues attaching the the x shaped retention plate to the risers. It is in the right place for my for AM3 socket, but it is uneven. I start one screw in and it lifts the others sides to high to screw in. Its like my risers arent tall enough. I might be overlooking something really simple, but I am just frusturated at the the moment. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Do you screw the first one in all the way?
If so, try threading the screw with one turn and then move onto the others in a cross pattern.
