USB Ports disconnect/connect while using a device

New motherboard: Asus Z87-WS

USB port(s) (both 2.0 and 3.0) keep disconnecting/connecting while using a device (i.e. iPOD, Samsung Galaxy S3, Samsung Tablet, USB Flash Drive, wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo).

It's not the devices, as I can connect use them on my wife's computer and use properly.

It's not the case (Corsair Obsidian 750D, also new), as it's both front and rear USB ports.

No drivers are provided from Asus for this motherboard, and Windows 8.1 has installed the drivers, no updates available. Only thing on the Asus website for this board about USB is a firmware upgrade, which I did.

Turned of power saving options for USB, as suggested. Still happens (even while typing this up!).

I do have the Corsair Link installed for both my CPU Cooler (H100i), and my PSU (AX1200i), which plug into 2 of the internal USB headers on the mobo. It seems to work, but it really don't do anything, but monitor temps and fan speed when you run the software. I may uninstall and remove.

Any clues?

EDIT: After further review, it may only be the USB 2.0 ports. I'll let you know when I verify this, by switching the devices to USB 3.0 ports, and try to do something.

I have confirmed that it is only the USB 2.0 ports (both front and rear).
iPOD works fine when connected to USB 3.0 ports (in rear).
Connected everything* else to USB 3.0 ports, so we will see. Left printer on USB 2.0.

*Wireless Keyboard/Mouse combo dongle, Samsung phone, iPOD, Camera...but not all at once!
