I have a 2 year old PC that has worked (mostly) fine until a few days ago. I restarted it, and everything turned on (my corsair h80i lit up, case/PSU fans were spinning, etc) but it didn't sound a post beep and nothing booted. literally nothing physical occurred between shutting it down and turning it back on.

it did this before a few months ago, and I fixed it by moving my graphics card to a different PCI slot.

for reference, the CPU is an AMD 8150, and the graphics card is a gigabyte radeon HD 6970

I tried removing all RAM sticks and gfx card, but still no beep. not sure what to do besides reassemble the computer, and I'm hoping I don't have to do that.

I think your motherboard just died, previously it happened was also by motherboard not from the graphic card. Can you try your components in another system just to be sure, like graphic card and the hard disk etc. You can leave the processor and Ram.s.

Do you have another known good PSU to connect to your system and try out? Lights coming ON and fans spinning is generally not a conclusive test for a PSU. The PSU must be tested under load and the voltages monitored. After this is done and if the computer still does not post, then it is a bad motherboard.
